Healing the Children
HTC in 2026
Healing the Children (HTC) is excited to welcome 2026 and the beginning of a new year. Since our founding in 1979, volunteers have provided 320,805 children with access to quality medical care. In 2024, Medical Teams traveled to Bolivia, Columbia, Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, El Salvador, Honduras, Nepal, Peru, and Tanzania. We supported International Projects in Bolivia, Colombia, Kenya, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru and Tanzania. We partnered with Uganda to assist 6 children in near by countries with critical medical care through our International Medical Assistance Programs. We brought one children to the US for critical medical care and provided several others with follow up services. Surgeons continually provide access to training worldwide in partnership with in-country medical professionals. Our work is realized through the generosity of hundreds of volunteers who give of their time, talent and funds to heal children.

We are delighted to share the news that Healing the Children Texas is the newest chapter of Healing the Children. In 2025, this group marked their 30th year working in Neiva, Colombia.

Medical Call Center
HTCFLGA has entered into a unique partnership with Ohana One and the Nigerian Government to provide Vuzix Smart Glasses for a medical call center in rural Nigeria.
